This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Facilitates communication by relaying telephone calls between consumers who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired (TTY users) and hearing individuals via the telephone network.
• Exhibits outstanding communication abilities and articulates words clearly.
• Reads aloud from a computer screen and listens to spoken language to accurately transcribe it into text.
• Acquires knowledge of complex computer communication software, including shortcuts and command functions.
• Operates effectively in a dynamic environment and adjusts to schedules affected by variations in call volume.
• At least a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Capability to type at a speed of 60 words per minute with minimal errors (to complete training).
• Ability to type 50 words per minute with 90% accuracy to qualify for training.
• Exceptional customer service experience coupled with a calm and composed demeanor.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekdays, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass skill assessments conducted by a local recruiter.
