This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Act as the initial point of contact for customers via phone, facilitating communication between external clients and medical personnel.
β’ Handle incoming calls, evaluate urgency, triage, and direct calls in accordance with established protocols.
β’ Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with clinical staff for effective scheduling.
β’ Collect patient registration details and verify insurance eligibility.
β’ Prepare patient charts, inform clinical staff of patient arrivals, and manage patient documentation.
β’ Take and relay phone messages, routing them through the medical group's EMR system.
β’ Collect and accurately post payments when necessary.
β’ Assist patients with inquiries related to MyChart.
β’ Ensure accurate documentation within SPHPMA systems.
β’ Address inquiries regarding physician offices, billing, referrals, authorizations, requisitions, services, and operational hours.
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
β’ A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ Prior experience in patient services, medical reception, call/customer call centers (within a medical context), or other customer service roles is essential.
β’ Preferred coursework in insurance/billing, medical practice education, or relevant seminars.
