CAD Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Generate figures for drafting requests, which include general site sketches, maps for soil boring and sample locations, basic geological cross-section diagrams, construction diagrams, well diagrams, and other graphical representations.

• Create surface and/or groundwater contour maps.

• Develop residential layouts, excavation bottoms, and oversizing graphics.

• Operate independently on tasks delegated by the CAD Manager.

• Implement Braun Intertec standards and practices.

• Coordinate with the CAD Manager, Project Manager, or field technician to clarify drawing requests and guarantee accurate deliverables.

• Request additional materials needed for the completion of drawings.

• Compile and organize multiple drawing files to facilitate efficient updates when drawing data changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical College degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent with 2–4 years of relevant experience.

• Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D commands and workflows.

• Knowledge of multi-tab drawings.

• Capability to manage layer display attributes and visibility across multiple viewports.

• Familiarity with the Civil 3D environment and its basic functionalities.

• Understanding of coordinate systems, including the ability to identify and work within them.

• Proficiency in importing and displaying point data.

• Skill in modifying Civil 3D styles for points, surfaces, corridors, alignments, and other civil objects.

• Competence in using point data to create simple surfaces and generate/display contours.

• Ability to compile and organize multiple drawing files for efficient future updates.

• General knowledge of ArcGIS, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat is advantageous.
