This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create distinctive prints and patterns that reflect the Comfrt brand aesthetic.
• Generate graphic concepts across various apparel categories, including logo, licensed, and non-logo content.
• Design product packaging.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas.
• Research and interpret relevant fashion and market trends through social listening.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Comfrt brand aesthetic, target customers, and market trends, with a keen eye for color, print, pattern, and graphic direction pertinent to the category.
• Conduct continuous trend research across fashion, graphics, home, retail, and cultural sectors to inspire new print, pattern, and packaging concepts.
• Create original graphics, prints, and repeat patterns while recognizing how artwork translates across different product categories, materials, and fabrications.
• Collaborate with factories and cross-functional teams to offer clear artwork direction, ensuring graphic execution, print quality, scale, placement, and application methods are commercially viable and aligned with design objectives.
• Communicate directly with vendors, provide prompt strike-off feedback, and ensure accurate execution of artwork.
• Organize and maintain digital files and archives for all designs.
• Present artwork and convey creative vision to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related discipline — or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in graphic and/or CAD design, ideally within the apparel sector or a global retail environment.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong visual skills in color, composition, typography, and concept development.
• In-depth understanding of graphic and print application techniques across various fabric types, including awareness of limitations and possibilities within garment wash, dye, print, embroidery, and specialty applications.
• Knowledge of factory production capabilities and application methods to proactively address issues during development and support efficient execution from concept to production.
• Versatile artistic style, with the ability to produce work across a wide range of design styles — from intricate plaids, camo, watercolor, and scenic illustrations to simple dots, stripes, and clean graphics.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the capability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently, take charge of projects, and effectively manage workload with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the capacity to adapt swiftly to changing business needs and timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask across graphic design, print development, packaging, trend research, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring high-quality execution.
• A collaborative, positive team player who welcomes feedback and thrives in partnerships with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
