C++ Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Create reusable, testable, and efficient code supported by comprehensive unit and regression testing.

• Develop essential C++ applications and libraries for the importation and analysis of genetic data.

• Take full responsibility for projects from their design phase through testing and deployment.

• Assist in optimizing and architecting the platform for enhanced speed and scalability.

• Maintain and enhance internal high-performance clinical annotation tools.

• Contribute to clear and enduring documentation of software architecture and implementation specifics.

• Collaborate with backend engineers, bioinformaticians, and product stakeholders to deliver integrated features.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS or MS degree in Computer Science.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a back-end developer specializing in C++.

• Practical experience with relational databases.

• Strong background in distributed cloud-based computing and big-data systems.

• A solid understanding of fundamental application design and object-oriented principles.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A flexible mindset, comfortable taking on various roles as required.

• Experience with in-memory databases such as Redis and gRPC services is highly regarded.

• A background in bioinformatics or a genuine interest in exploring the domain is appreciated.
