Buyer, Spares – RSPL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and procure Spares & RSPL components, collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet precise demand while delivering value to stakeholders.

• Develop and sustain supplier relationships within the category, focusing on cost reduction and maintaining high fill rates across the product catalog.

• Collaborate with Planning teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business requirements.

• Utilize SAP and planning tools to assess inventory, order trends, and sales data to guide strategic purchasing choices and uncover cost-saving opportunities (such as vendor consolidation, contract negotiation, and supplier selection).

• Recognize and address risks associated with delivery, quality, cost, and performance; escalate issues along with suggested solutions.

• Provide updates on material status, including expedited or delayed orders, and troubleshoot shortages or problematic parts.

• Keep accurate purchasing records and planning parameters to facilitate MPS/MRP processes.

• Oversee bid package creation and manage RFQ procedures.

• Work collaboratively across departments to address purchasing challenges (including quality, scheduling, and pricing) and ensure that both internal and external service levels are achieved.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience using MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred for PR/PO generation.

• Familiarity with relevant commodities (such as conveyors, lifts, robotics, automation controls, steel, and material handling systems) and knowledge of the associated supply base.

• Proficient in advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
