Business Unit Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Responsible for financial and resource planning across all facets of your Business Unit (BU), with complete P&L oversight.

• Ensuring the organization remains financially stable, effectively managed, and meets critical targets.

• Leading and managing personnel and resources to achieve business goals within budgetary constraints.

• Overseeing both direct and indirect sales efforts, particularly in the energy sector.

• Monitoring the welfare and professional development of all staff members.

• Cultivating, motivating, and empowering a committed and skilled management team to achieve outstanding results.

• Taking ownership of the growth strategy for the BU, which includes shaping product strategy and ensuring delivery and support in line with a published roadmap.

• Guaranteeing a high standard of work and a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.

• Establishing relationships with additional industry partners and alliances, primarily within the UK but potentially extending beyond – in both sales and solution delivery.

• Executing risk management strategies to mitigate strategic, operational, and compliance-related risks.

• Ensuring successful implementation of company directives and adherence to policies and procedures in line with current laws and regulations.

• Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, with the capability to engage, inspire, and guide the organization in collaboration with the management team.

• Managing full P&L responsibilities and controls, including regular reporting into Jonas.

• Exhibiting the ability to plan and coordinate various business functions across different teams within a software organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior management experience and a well-established profile within the UK software industry, especially in areas related to or transferable to Energy Retail, Forecasting, and the electricity, gas, and water markets.

• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as management, business, or information technology, or comparable professional experience.
