This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive financial models, forecasts, budgets, and long-term strategies for the designated Business Unit(s). Collaborate with the Consolidation team and Business Unit leaders to ensure precise financial projections. Initiate projects under your role to enhance processes while ensuring quality and compliance.
• Set KPIs and track the financial performance of the Business Unit, analyzing discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective measures. Deliver actionable insights to aid decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.
• Lead the creation of precise and timely financial reports for the Business Unit (aligned with Accounting reports), consolidating data to offer a clear perspective on business performance. Collaborate closely with the Financial Consolidation team and Senior Finance team to assist with Business Unit-level details in reporting to investors and stakeholders.
• Identify and address financial risks within the assigned Business Unit(s), possessing a thorough understanding of the unique risks and regulatory landscape of the Brazilian financial market.
• Act as a financial consultant to Business Unit leaders, guiding them in making decisions that align financial results with business goals. Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Technology teams for smooth financial integration.
• Work with various data sources and Data teams to compile data as needed for your reports and controls. Actively utilize AI tools and automation to improve analysis, reporting, and decision-making — we expect this role to lead in AI adoption within the Finance team.
• Educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA) or a Master’s degree would be advantageous.
• Experience in FP&A, business finance, or financial planning roles within the Brazilian financial market is crucial. Ideal candidates will have experience in digital banking, payment companies, or fintechs. Familiarity with credit products (personal loans, credit cards, or credit lines) is a significant advantage.
• A hands-on approach to daily tasks.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities across various business units and products.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
• Advanced ability to work with data sources across different tools.
• AI proficiency: Proven experience using AI tools (LLMs, copilots, automation) in a professional setting. We expect candidates to embrace AI and implement it throughout their workflow — from modeling and analysis to reporting and communication.
• Flexibility and adaptability: Ability to navigate across business lines, products, and priorities as the company evolves. We value profiles that are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where the scope of work may shift.
• Solid understanding of Brazilian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of US GAAP would be a plus.
• Our team operates in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese. We seek professionals who can communicate effectively in all three languages at a working/executive level. - Portuguese: Fluency required (working language in Brazil). - English: Fluency required (investor relations, reporting, executive communication). - Spanish: Strongly preferred (daily working language with leadership and cross-functional teams). Candidates fluent in all three languages at an executive level will be prioritized.
