This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary instructor and teacher of record.
• Work diligently to achieve all objectives related to student performance and culture, in addition to meeting state-specific academic accountability standards.
• Conduct highly effective live lessons via web conferencing tailored to student needs, based on evidence-based instructional practices.
• Set up each course within the Learning Management System efficiently.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses, providing daily feedback and grading assignments.
• Maintain consistent contact and track progress for each student.
• Collaborate with the Principal to generate and present Progress Reports for students.
• Regularly analyze student-level data to guide instructional program modifications.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all students.
• Employ research-supported best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous teaching.
• Foster a joyful, caring, and nurturing classroom atmosphere for every student.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into daily lessons and engagements with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Uphold and implement school-wide cultural expectations and norms, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional development.
• Integrate 21st-century technology skills into everyday classroom practices and team environments.
• Engage in the planning and execution of non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips, and participate in these events in person.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, humbly, and respectfully with all colleagues.
• Travel annually to support required in-person state testing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Valid State teaching license in the relevant content area, with a willingness to acquire licenses in additional states.
• Understanding of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Ideally, two years of teaching experience.
• High level of comfort operating in a growth-oriented coaching environment characterized by frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Capability to manage confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students in all school environments.
• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
