This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• The Business Systems Analyst FCC serves as a technical authority responsible for analyzing, designing, and recommending tailored application or operating systems to meet business needs and requirements.
• Partner with business teams to gather, analyze, and document API and integration requirements across various firm initiatives.
• Establish API specifications, encompassing request/response formats, payload structures, system interactions, and data mappings.
• Assist in the design and management of the API lifecycle.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure APIs are in accordance with Digital Client Onboarding platform standards and achieve business objectives.
• Verify that API implementations comply with Operations and Compliance standards.
• Proven experience in extracting and documenting information from a variety of business area stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, developers, and product owners.
• Employ continuous improvement methodologies to actively seek and implement initiatives that enhance customer service or increase efficiencies.
• Work alongside application development teams and vendors to explore potential solutions and help define selection criteria.
• A University Degree, ideally in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in a business systems analyst position within the Brokerage Securities Industry or Financial Services, with a strong understanding of business and/or IT concepts.
• Solid comprehension of Financial Products utilized in the Securities Industry and Wealth Management.
• Experience in gathering requirements and developing use cases.
• Proficient in facilitating technical discussions and conducting knowledge transfer to clients and internal personnel.
• Background in working within an Agile environment on a self-managed team.
• Exceptional ability to articulate ideas, lead technical walkthroughs, and provide clear status updates.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation talents.
• High technical aptitude with a quick adaptability to new technologies.
• Experience with API integration.
• Familiarity with SoapUI, Postman, and XSD.
• Knowledgeable in JIRA and Confluence.
