Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive functional specifications for designated projects.

• Create testing plans and cases, and carry out the execution of said cases.

• Investigate and analyze moderately complex data to ensure the accuracy of functional design.

• Guide less experienced team members through application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation.

• Act as the functional lead on assigned application projects when necessary.

• Engage with business clients to discuss requested changes to applications and comprehend specifications.

• Take part in design discussions and modify specifications with clients until consensus and signoff are achieved.

• Review business requirements in collaboration with the Technology team.

• Oversee and perform testing to confirm changes and enhancements.

• Collaborate with colleagues to assess the impact of application changes on other systems.

• Participate in integrated testing as needed.

• Track specifications and change requests to uphold project scope and regulatory compliance.

• Adhere to Bank processes and documentation standards.

• Address issues that arise from testing or implementation.

• Coordinate follow-up activities post-implementation and resolve any resulting issues.

• Comply with company risk, regulatory, policy, and control standards.

• Identify risk-related concerns that need escalation to management.

• Maintain internal control standards and implement audit and regulatory action items.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A combined minimum of 4 years of higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.

• Proficient with personal computers and relevant software packages.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience or subject matter expertise in business, with knowledge and usage of the supported application/system is preferred.

• Proven success in a Technology Internship is preferred.

• Capability to work on multiple projects with basic to moderate complexity.

• Familiarity with supported applications and interfacing/integrated applications.

• Proficient in project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

• Understanding of the Bank's application framework.

• Knowledge of application development software and hardware platforms.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organization, time management, lateral thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to present effectively to all levels of management.

• Capacity to work both in a team environment and independently.

• Skill in coordinating between applications and business units.

• Ability to multitask across various components of moderately complex projects.

• Capability to recognize project milestones and delivery deadlines.

• Ability to recommend and implement effective solutions.
