This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Guide and assist Business Quality Assessors within the team, fostering their development and capabilities through consistent support, learning initiatives, and the sharing of knowledge and experience.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with all team members to promote continuous development.
• Evaluate advice in accordance with regulatory standards and Progeny Policy.
• Facilitate the integration of AI tools to enhance our capacity for file checks, thereby improving Client Outcomes.
• Oversee and manage the file review and pre-approval processes, ensuring compliance with the T&C Scheme and appropriate levels of supervision.
• Perform file checks on client cases and conduct second checks on the BQA team.
• Generate management information (MI) on file checks performed, highlighting trends and potential areas of risk or non-compliance.
• Ensure compliance and the execution of all remedial actions on client files reviewed.
• Identify deficiencies in business quality submissions and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate closely with the T&C Supervisors to ensure that any developmental needs are recognized and action plans are established as necessary.
• Keep abreast of current regulations and internal policies, including Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, General Data Protection Regulations, FCA Handbook, and Progeny’s standards of client service and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate Continued Professional Development records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with the Head of Advice Quality to ensure that any approved process changes are documented and effectively implemented.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Risk Officer or Compliance Heads of Departments that are typical for this role.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both the team and Planners as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments in drafting policies and aligning strategies, participating in various committees as required.
• Provide Planner training on an as-needed basis.
• Conduct consistency review meetings to share best practices.
• Diploma in Financial Planning or comparable qualification.
• Experience in file checking within a Financial Services / IFA context.
• Proven track record in leading and developing teams to achieve top performance.
• Strong knowledge of Regulatory Handbooks and their practical application.
• Good understanding of regulatory suitability requirements.
• Familiarity with product provider websites and online systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Capable of applying a consistent, fair, and balanced approach to assessments.
• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain superior quality records.
• Proficient in managing and prioritizing workload effectively, including working under pressure.
• CeMAP or equivalent qualification (Desirable).
• Chartered or Fellowship status (Desirable).
• Certificate in Long-Term Care Insurance (Desirable).
• Experience with AI tools and their application in file checking or quality assurance (Desirable).
• Background in paraplanning or report writing (Desirable).
• Experience in interpreting cash flow analysis (Desirable).
