Business Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute workflow mapping and assess current-state analysis for clinical and operational workflows influenced by the Federal EHR.

• Assist in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of healthcare processes and application systems on an enterprise level.

• Offer redesign support and implementation guidance during Go-Live and PGL Operations.

• Conduct research to support system redesign, business process reengineering, enhancement, and management.

• Formulate implementation plans and aid in the execution and maintenance of improvements.

• Standardize and enhance workflows across various sites.

• Utilize VHA business architecture to achieve workflow consistency and minimize complexity.

• Aid in triaging and resolving clinical informatics issues related to workflow, configuration, and interoperability concerning Oracle Health.

• Update guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures as workflows, systems, and interfaces advance.

• Document process artifacts and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Convert clinician and staff feedback into practical workflow enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required.

• At least six (6) years of relevant professional experience.

• Proven experience in business process reengineering, process improvement, and process management.

• Expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide processes and application systems.

• Proficient in workflow mapping and current-state/future-state analysis.

• Experience in developing implementation plans and maintaining process improvements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Low/NACI background investigation.

• Preferably experienced with health systems or healthcare processes.

• Experience in supporting Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium workflow design or optimization is a plus.

• Lean Six Sigma certification or a comparable process improvement credential is preferred.

• Experience supporting VHA or a similar federal health informatics organization is advantageous.
