This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify current and prospective opportunities for enhancements in the revenue cycle.
• Facilitate discussions, assessments, selections, and prioritization of improvement opportunities within PRMO, including creating an ROI analysis to evaluate potential impacts on overall PRMO performance.
• Collaborate closely with PRMO leadership to comprehend operational objectives and challenges to pinpoint enhancement opportunities.
• Conduct and prepare regular root cause analyses of the revenue cycle function’s performance to highlight areas for improvement, utilizing various data systems such as Slicer Dicer and Tableau.
• Accountable for various standard and recurring reporting functions that support the operational business needs of the revenue cycle.
• Track key performance indicators for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster internal relationships to better understand departmental workflows.
• Assist in the investigation of claims/denials patterns, changes in payer policies, shifts in collection rates, avoidable write-offs, and evaluations of payer mix to enhance payer performance.
• Act as the primary contact for the month-end Revenue Cycle Net Revenue Review.
• Develop, design, lead, and implement strategies aimed at reducing accounts receivable (AR), improving aging AR, enhancing net collection rates, eliminating waste through automation or optimization of workflows, minimizing denials, and decreasing avoidable write-offs across all aspects of the Revenue Cycle.
• Build, maintain, and enhance expertise in Revenue Cycle systems and third-party vendors to support optimal workflow recommendations.
• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of professional experience is necessary.
• In-depth knowledge of Revenue Cycle analytical tools, business intelligence tools, and statistical packages.
• Demonstrated experience with Revenue Cycle workflows, which includes, but is not limited to, overall claims processing throughout the revenue cycle, denials management, insurance follow-up, and implications and calculations of net collection rates.
• Experience with Epic System (Revenue Cycle Applications).
• Familiarity with Revenue Cycle operations.
