Business Operations Manager – VC Backed Startups

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead critical, cross-departmental initiatives spanning growth, finance, product, customer operations, and organizational strategy.

• Assess business performance, pinpoint trends, and formulate recommendations for the company's leadership team.

• Create dashboards, reporting processes, and operational metrics.

• Collaborate with functional leaders to establish objectives, monitor progress, and mitigate execution risks.

• Enhance and refine internal processes, workflows, and systems as the organization expands.

• Assist in annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation activities.

• Conduct analyses of market trends, customer behavior, competitors, and operational efficiency.

• Prepare business reviews, executive presentations, and materials for the board.

• Assess new business ventures, partnerships, products, and market expansion strategies.

• Convert leadership priorities into actionable workstreams, designated owners, timelines, and measurable results.

• Assist with special initiatives related to fundraising, pricing strategies, organizational design, and transformation across the company.

• Aid in establishing scalable operational practices across various teams and functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting, finance, product operations, corporate development, or a similar field.

• Previous experience in a venture-backed startup, a rapidly growing tech company, a consulting firm, an investment firm, or a similarly fast-paced environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to structure ambiguous questions effectively.

• Proven experience utilizing data to create recommendations and influence business decisions.

• Track record of successfully managing intricate, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Comfort in using business intelligence tools.

• Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational capabilities.

• Hands-on, low-ego approach to operations with a readiness to work beyond a narrowly defined scope.

• Experience in financial modeling, KPI development, or strategic planning may be beneficial depending on the role.
