Business Objects Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement SAP BusinessObjects reporting solutions that fulfill business reporting and analytical requirements.

• Create and maintain Web Intelligence (WebI) reports utilizing various data sources, variables, formulas, hyperlinks, data merging, and report distribution.

• Produce standardized reports and facilitate ad-hoc reporting using SAP BO tools.

• Develop dashboards with Xcelsius and integrate them with Live Office when necessary.

• Execute report scheduling, bursting, sharing, and distribution for end-users.

• Engage in requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and analysts.

• Conduct gap analysis and convert business requirements into technical reporting solutions that align with BI standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with functional users, analysts, and technical teams to establish reporting and analytics implementation strategies.

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP BO Universes using the Information Design Tool (IDT).

• Create semantic layers that simplify complex database structures for business users.

• Ensure universes facilitate efficient ad-hoc querying and optimized reporting performance.

• Oversee universe versioning, deployment, and lifecycle management.

• Support the establishment of reporting databases and data marts based on business data models.

• Partner with data engineering teams to guarantee data quality, consistency, and performance optimization.

• Administer the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform and manage daily operations.

• Configure and manage the Central Management Console (CMC).

• Oversee user access, roles, groups, and security settings.

• Implement row-level and object-level security measures.

• Maintain scheduling, publication, and report distribution services.

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for BusinessObjects components.

• Troubleshoot report failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks.

• Optimize reports, queries, and universes for enhanced performance.

• Monitor system health and assist with deployments, upgrades, and patches.

• Develop and maintain healthcare analytics reports, including Rebate Reports, Medicare Reports, Pharmacy Reports, Specialty Drug Reports, and Utilization Reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience working with the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform.

• Experience covering the complete report development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and production deployment.

• Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects Tools (Web Intelligence, IDT, Universe Design, CMC).

• Familiarity with Xcelsius Dashboards and Live Office.

• Experience in report scheduling and publication management.

• Expertise in BI development, semantic layer development, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of data modeling and reporting data marts.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouses.

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.

• Experience troubleshooting data inconsistencies, report failures, and performance issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Capability to work with cross-functional teams, including business users, analysts, and data engineers.

• Strong adherence to documentation and reporting standards.
