This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Attain Sales Objectives: Achieve volume, share, and sales fundamental targets (merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving) for principals at the most cost-effective rates while maximizing company revenue through brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and contest winnings.
• Strategic Communication: Relay the priorities of principals to Retail Sales Managers, Sales Technology Managers (IT), Marketing Managers, Business Managers, and the retail selling team to ensure business goals and in-store presence are achieved.
• Leadership and Reporting: Report directly to the General Manager or Team Leader, overseeing and contributing to the development, design, and presentation of Acosta’s introduction to new principals.
• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain robust relationships with both principals and customers, proactively engaging with key principals to promote collaboration and success.
• Team Collaboration: Facilitate ongoing communication between General Managers and key principals, and work alongside Retail Sales Managers on significant retail initiatives like new product launches, sales drives, and contests.
• Market Insight: Organize market visits and key account calls for principals, using your understanding of customers, markets, and principals to effectively promote specific programs and initiatives.
• Strategic Utilization: Use insights from the Senior Vice President, General Manager, Team Leaders, and Senior Business Managers to create conceptual sales presentations that achieve principals’ objectives.
• Feedback and Improvement: Offer feedback on the effectiveness of principals’ strategies, selling programs, and initiatives to both the principal and the General Manager, and propose recommendations for enhancing organizational capacity and business improvement.
• Information Management: Keep account distribution information up-to-date, review market pricing reports for accuracy and competitive activity, and gather and report on all competitive movements.
• Skill Development: Actively manage your personal skill development plan and share customer/manufacturer insights with team members to enhance organizational capacity.
• Compliance and Financial Management: Ensure adherence to all client procedures and policies, achieve expertise in client proprietary systems to manage promotional plans and fund balances, and monitor financial management practices, taking corrective actions as needed, including handling deductions.
• Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the business.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A demonstrated history of success in sales; ideally with a food broker or national company.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales capabilities.
• Ability to analyze sales and marketing data essential for effective sales presentations.
• Proficient in various software applications that support the sales function.
• Willingness to travel.
