Business Intelligence Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and automate dashboards, reports, and data models utilizing Power BI and other visualization platforms.

• Design, create, and uphold data ETL pipelines sourced from SQL databases, SharePoint, Excel, and additional origins.

• Enhance and perfect existing SQL queries and dashboards.

• Keep precise documentation for client dashboards and their corresponding SQL queries.

• Work collaboratively with clients and technical teams to collect and integrate business requirements into impactful data visualizations.

• Convert complex data findings into straightforward, comprehensible insights for stakeholders.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across reports and dashboards.

• Coordinate with fellow developers on data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

• Communicate technical solutions and the business value to non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience handling large datasets in a data visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, covering query optimization, common table expressions (CTEs), and complex joins.

• High level of proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and intricate formulas.

• Exceptional communication skills for gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and translating complex data findings for non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; a major in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Must be capable of passing a background investigation by the client agency.

• DHS clearance with CBP or ICE is preferred.

• Experience in Python (Pandas) for data analysis is preferred.

• Experience in developing PowerApps and Power Automate solutions is preferred.
