Business Intelligence Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and uphold Power BI dashboards and data models that support various business functions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements, establish KPIs, and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.

• Validate source data, oversee report outputs, and document assumptions and definitions to guarantee data accuracy and consistency.

• Work with Data Engineering to outline analytical requirements and assist in optimizing data models and transformation logic.

• Provide support to self-service BI users through effective communication, collateral, and training materials.

• Document definitions of KPIs, data lineage, and reporting assumptions.

• Identify chances to automate manual reporting processes and enhance refresh reliability.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Company employees.

• Represent the Company in a professional and appropriate manner in interactions with clients, vendors, business partners, and visitors.

• Contribute positively to the professional culture within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in business intelligence, analytics, or data-related roles.

• Proficient in SQL, including CTEs and window functions for dataset manipulation.

• Understanding of dimensional data modeling and data warehouse principles.

• Skilled in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and dashboard design, or other visualization tools.

• Exceptional ownership, problem-solving, communication, and time management abilities.

• Capable of working independently on multiple projects.

• Experience in collaborating with both technical and business teams.

• Ability to convert analytical findings into business insights.

• Familiarity with SMS/Text Servicing or CPaaS platforms is advantageous.

• Experience in Payments Services is beneficial.

• Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation data sources such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
