Business Intelligence Analyst – Performance Insights

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the performance measurement infrastructure at Ideals for the long term, establishing yourself as the leading authority on business performance metrics, tracking, and enhancement.

• Develop and enhance scorecards, dashboards, and reporting views using Google Sheets and other available tools.

• Handle large and intricate datasets, verify calculations, pinpoint inconsistencies, and address data quality concerns.

• Convert business measurement requirements into structured logic, reporting specifications, and scalable tracking solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to comprehend metrics, performance drivers, and reporting expectations.

• Work alongside stakeholders, BI, data, and technical teams regarding data sourcing, querying, and integration matters.

• Continuously enhance the tracking, reporting, and interpretation of KPIs throughout the organization.

• Utilize analytical thinking and sound judgment to detect trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities within performance data.

• Thoughtfully apply AI tools to enhance workflows and outputs, ensuring quality validation and risk minimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

• Senior-level experience in BI, analytics, performance reporting, or a comparable data-centric role.

• Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets, including complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and structured reporting.

• Proficient SQL skills and experience in querying databases like BigQuery or similar systems.

• Experience in developing automated data workflows, scheduled reports, or scripted data pipelines (e.g., SQL-based pipelines in BigQuery, Google Apps Script, or similar tools).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, capable of identifying issues, questioning assumptions, and delving deeper than surface-level insights.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

• A solid understanding of KPIs, business metrics, and performance measurement across various functions.

• Ability to work independently in ambiguous settings and create processes from the ground up.

• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and motivation to explore complex topics over time.

• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, grasp context, and refine measurement logic.
