Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and manage dashboards that monitor business performance.

• Establish and sustain KPIs that provide real-time insights into business health and funnel performance.

• Examine funnel conversion rates, identify drop-off points, and assess program effectiveness.

• Suggest enhancements to improve impact and efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine metrics and reporting for pilots and new initiatives.

• Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

• Present concise, data-driven narratives that highlight opportunities, challenges, and outcomes.

• Manage SQL-based querying, data manipulation, and transformations for intricate datasets.

• Optimize and automate regular reporting processes.

• Work alongside engineering and data science teams to address data quality or access challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced skills in SQL for querying and transforming large datasets.

• Experience working within complex data infrastructures.

• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Superset.

• Comfortable using AI tools to enhance analysis, querying, and reporting.

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Capability to translate data into clear business insights through writing.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to distill complex analyses for non-technical, senior stakeholders.

• Over 4 years of experience in business analytics, data, business operations, or a related field.

• Previous experience in a high-growth environment, multi-sided marketplace, or platform business.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous setting.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
