This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from Operations, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to gather requirements and convert business inquiries into structured, testable data questions.
• Design, develop, and sustain governed dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
• Write and optimize SQL using CTEs, window functions, and aggregations on both production and unstructured data sources.
• Assist in the transition of reporting from Power BI to Databricks/dbt by creating Operations-specific dbt models on governed data layers.
• Contribute to the definitions of metrics and the governance of analytics.
• Validate analyses, identify data quality issues, and determine whether challenges stem from data, logic, or business processes.
• Maintain and enhance automated data extracts utilized daily by Operations.
• Leverage AI tools to expedite SQL, dbt, and dashboard development while ensuring output accuracy.
• Document models, dashboards, and logic for ease of maintenance.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• Over 2 years of experience in BI or analytics, with hands-on experience in building SQL-based data models in production settings.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in SQL, including CTEs, window functions, and efficient queries on large tables.
• Hands-on experience in building SQL-based transformation models using dbt or similar frameworks, such as Dataform or SQLMesh, on a modern cloud warehouse.
• Familiarity with structuring staging and mart layers, testing models, and utilizing version control.
• Direct experience with end-to-end BI dashboard development using Power BI, Databricks, Looker, or comparable tools, encompassing underlying data models and calculations.
• Experience in creating dashboards with drill-downs, cross-filtering, and indicators or threshold flags.
• Proven ability to gather and validate requirements directly from business stakeholders.
• Skilled in investigating whether data issues originate from data, logic, or business processes.
• Capability to work independently in a developing data environment.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or modern cloud data warehouses.
