Business Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Analyze data, develop models, test hypotheses, identify root causes, create prototypes, forecast performance, generate Power BI reports, and write SQL scripts.

• Derive insights from these data activities to guide business decisions.

• Utilize descriptive (what occurred) and diagnostic (why it occurred) analytics to formulate specific, actionable recommendations for business leaders.

• Establish metrics that are independent, comprehensive, accurate, promote appropriate behaviors, and align with the company's strategy and objectives.

• Manage relationships and oversee small projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Map business processes to their related data flows.

• Proactively identify and highlight opportunities to enhance efficiency for Operations and internally as well.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.

• 2+ years of experience with Power BI and SQL, along with familiarity in R, Python, appscripts, Redshift, and BigQuery.

• Proven experience in exploratory data analysis, prototyping, hypothesis testing, root cause analysis, modeling business processes, building forecasts, creating predictive models, defining metrics, and/or measuring business performance.

• Demonstrated ability to connect data and analytics to business strategy and operations to drive meaningful impact.

• Working knowledge of probability and statistics.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to convey complex issues in a straightforward and intuitive manner.

• Must possess a C1 English level in both verbal and written communication to be eligible for this position.
