This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Act as the bridge between Information Security (IS) and the business units.
• Function as the primary and ongoing point of contact for Information Security within Product and Engineering teams.
• Engage actively in team ceremonies, planning meetings, and product evaluations — not merely as an occasional participant, but as an integral member of the discussion.
• Convert security requirements into terminology and context that resonate with development teams, product managers (PMs), and product leaders.
• Identify, evaluate, and communicate security risks clearly to stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
• Develop and monitor risk treatment plans with relevant areas, prioritizing based on genuine business impact.
• Ensure that Product and Engineering teams comprehend the risks associated with their decisions — and that these choices are made with full awareness.
• Serve as a facilitator between squads and the IAM team for access provisioning and audits — alleviating friction while upholding essential controls.
• Assist teams in integrating security practices throughout the development lifecycle (security by design, threat modeling, architecture assessments).
• Provide guidance on compliance and Information Security policies, maintaining a practical perspective on the actual needs of those developing the products.
• Cultivate a security culture that is viewed as a facilitator, not a hindrance.
• Encourage continuous, contextualized security awareness for Product and Engineering teams.
• Detect recurring risk patterns and recommend systemic enhancements, rather than merely temporary solutions.
• Significant experience in Information Security, including roles that involve direct collaboration with business, product, or software engineering teams.
• Practical understanding of risk management, Information Security policies, and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles and agile methodologies — you must be fluent in the language of the teams you will support.
