Business Development Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Build collaborative partnerships with agencies and producers.

• Assess routine business for risk acceptability.

• Align pricing with exposure, loss frequency, and severity to ensure profitability.

• Create and sustain a profitable book of business.

• Propel the profitable sale of the Company's products.

• Oversee production and quality of assigned producers.

• Conduct marketing research to uncover opportunities for management.

• Leverage underwriting authority to accurately price the Company's products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and/or training is required.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Capability to apply fundamental Underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as submissions, loss control reports, and standard policy forms/endorsements.

• 40-50% travel is required.
