Business Development Specialist – Out of Hospital, Homecare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the development and growth of the Out of Hospital (OOH) business in Switzerland, emphasizing advanced NPWT solutions.

• Serve as a strategic intermediary between Sales, Clinical, Marketing, and external partners, fostering sustainable business models beyond the conventional hospital setting (e.g., nursing organizations, homecare providers, and office-based environments).

• Formulate and execute a national business development strategy for NPWT within the OOH sector in Switzerland.

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business prospects, care pathways, and partnerships in the OOH segment.

• Construct scalable business models aimed at promoting sustainable market and revenue growth outside of hospital confines.

• Analyze the Swiss Out of Hospital (OOH) market, focusing on wound care nurses, nursing organizations, homecare providers, social service organizations, and social insurance institutions (e.g., health insurance companies).

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance representatives, KOLs, healthcare professionals, and decision-makers.

• Proactively build and oversee an OOH wound care community to advocate for therapy adoption, education, and knowledge sharing.

• Encourage clinically and economically sound usage of NPWT in home and outpatient environments.

• Collaborate closely with Clinical and Sales teams to create evidence-based value propositions and training initiatives.

• Assist in product launches, pilot projects, and therapy implementations within the OOH context.

• Work in close partnership with Sales, Marketing, Clinical Specialists, and leadership teams.

• Contribute to national and international initiatives aimed at furthering the OOH strategy.

• Ensure systematic documentation, reporting, and performance tracking of business development efforts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Medical Technology, Nursing Sciences, or a related field.

• Significant experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the healthcare industry.

• Strong knowledge of wound treatment or relevant clinical/scientific experience is highly advantageous.

• Proficiency in German and English; French language skills are a bonus.

• Proficient use of CRM systems and analytical tools.

• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset coupled with strong analytical abilities.

• High initiative, organized working style, and project management skills.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with clinical, commercial, and strategic stakeholders.

• Capability to translate complex healthcare environments into actionable business strategies.

• Strong hunter mentality: focused on acquiring new business and direct prospecting.

• Willingness to travel within Switzerland.
