
Business Development Specialist – Out of Hospital / Homecare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.
• Develop and execute a national business development strategy for NPWT in the Out of Hospital (OOH) segment within Austria.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities, care pathways, and partnerships in the OOH sector.
• Create scalable business models to foster sustainable market and revenue growth beyond hospital settings.
• Conduct an analysis of the Austrian OOH market, focusing on wound care nurses, nursing organizations, homecare providers, social service organizations, and social insurance institutions.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance representatives, key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and decision-makers.
• Advocate for clinically and economically appropriate utilization of NPWT in home and outpatient environments.
• Collaborate closely with Clinical and Sales teams to formulate evidence-based value propositions and training materials.
• Assist in product launches, pilot initiatives, and therapy implementations within the OOH context.
• Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Clinical Specialists, and leadership teams.
• Contribute to national and international projects aimed at further developing the OOH strategy.
• Ensure organized documentation, reporting, and performance tracking of business development efforts.
• Proactively build and oversee an OOH wound care community to encourage therapy adoption, education, and knowledge sharing.
• A degree in healthcare management, business administration, medical technology, nursing sciences, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the healthcare industry.
• In-depth knowledge of NPWT, wound care, or associated medical technologies is a significant advantage.
• Willingness to travel throughout Austria.
• Proficiency in both German and English.
• Confident in the use of CRM systems and analytical tools.
• A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset coupled with strong analytical abilities.
• High level of initiative, structured work approach, and project management skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills across clinical, commercial, and strategic stakeholders.
• Ability to convert complex healthcare environments into actionable business strategies.
