This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist RTI’s Strategic Account Executives throughout the business development lifecycle by managing the pipeline, vetting opportunities, gathering competitive intelligence, and addressing client communication needs.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of RTI’s offerings, the competitive environment, and the market to enhance business development initiatives.
• Actively track, recognize, and cultivate potential opportunities linked to designated key accounts.
• Support pipeline management efforts in Salesforce.
• Foster both internal and external relationships, collaborating closely with Strategic Account Executives across the organization.
• Work alongside other analysts and business development partners for information sharing and cross-functional benefits.
• Conduct research to align client priorities and contracting prospects with RTI’s capabilities.
• Examine competitive industry trends and perform business intelligence to generate business landscape status reports for strategic clients.
• A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in business development.
• A Master’s degree along with some prior related experience in business development is also acceptable.
• Understanding of the government contracting landscape is an advantage, especially regarding federal or SLED markets.
• Familiarity with government contracting websites and tools such as USASpending, GovWin, Bloomberg, SAM.gov, and GSA eBuy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Salesforce (SharePoint knowledge is a plus).
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to interact effectively with senior clients and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain organization and manage competing deadlines and responsibilities effectively.
