This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create new business opportunities and play a role in marketing and promotional initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Development and the Commercial Lines Manager to identify and pursue new business prospects, enhancing our customer base in the insurance sector.
• Assess existing customer accounts to pinpoint cross-selling and account rounding possibilities.
• Partner with the Account Management Team to review current accounts and implement strategies for optimal cross-selling and account rounding.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key decision-makers within existing accounts to enhance customer engagement and uncover potential referrals.
• Generate new business leads from lost accounts, industry listings, networking efforts, and referrals.
• Keep precise records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the pipeline.
• Work alongside marketing and advertising teams to design and execute impactful sales campaigns.
• Oversee a portfolio of lost accounts by identifying the reasons for their loss and devising strategies to regain their business.
• Demonstrated expertise in marketing functions with knowledge of various rating platforms from national and regional insurance providers.
• Candidates with retail agency experience will be given preference.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• A state insurance license is mandatory within the first 90 days of employment.
