This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Conduct research on target accounts, merchants, and key decision-makers to uncover new business opportunities.
• Create and qualify leads through outbound prospecting using phone, email, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
• Establish, sustain, and oversee a robust pipeline of potential merchants and business clients.
• Organize and coordinate discovery meetings and sales discussions for senior sales stakeholders.
• Interact with prospects to comprehend their business requirements, payment challenges, and operational needs.
• Assist Business Development Managers during the sales cycle, which includes presentations, proposals, negotiations, and onboarding processes.
• Keep precise CRM records, update opportunity stages, and monitor all sales activities and prospect interactions.
• Evaluate pipeline performance and deliver regular updates on prospect engagement and sales progress.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with merchants, business owners, and enterprise-level decision-makers.
• Represent the organization at international fintech conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Create new business opportunities through industry events, partnerships, and professional networking.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from prospecting to onboarding.
• Stay updated on fintech, payments, merchant services, and industry trends to effectively position solutions in the market.
• Regularly meet or surpass targets for prospecting, lead generation, and sales activities.
• At least 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, SDR, BDR, or account development.
• Proven background in FinTech, Payments, Financial Services, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Payment Gateways, Merchant Services, Banking Technology, Financial Software, or SaaS companies with substantial financial exposure.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in selling payment solutions, merchant services, payment processing, banking technology, financial software, or e-commerce payment infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, lead generation, lead qualification, and pipeline management.
• Experience in conducting discovery calls and engaging with decision-makers, merchants, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tools, ideally Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, and Google Workspace.
• Comfortable working in a structured, target-driven sales environment with defined KPIs and quotas.
• Professional, polished, and commercially minded with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
• Adaptable, coachable, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-growth environment.
• Stable employment history showcasing career progression.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite at the designated hiring location (Lisbon, Portugal; Stellenbosch, South Africa; Cairo, Egypt; Buenos Aires, Argentina).
• Must be willing and able to travel internationally for conferences, trade shows, and industry events approximately 5–6 times a year.
• Experience with PSPs, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, international sales, conference attendance, or trade show participation is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is highly advantageous.
