This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Surpass designated revenue and profit objectives on a quarterly basis as well as against annual targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers and identify opportunities within the assigned sector, as well as explore new markets as directed by leadership.
• Maintain and continuously enhance relationships with both customers and vendors.
• Oversee and deliver a weekly pipeline of sales opportunities, quotes, and orders.
• Generate insights and opportunities regarding this market category at both the Headquarters and Programmatic levels.
• Collaborate with customers to establish requirements for future bids and contract proposals for the equipment and services offered by the company.
• Travel to client locations in the vertical and participate in symposiums, conferences, tradeshows, and exhibitions, as well as conduct vendor ride-alongs to foster sales opportunities.
• Proactively gather competitive and customer intelligence, sharing market insights, opportunities, and threats with the company.
• Provide pricing quotes and establish appropriate credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery timelines.
• Acquire knowledge and utilize internal systems for processing quotes and orders effectively.
• Suggest products to customers based on their needs and preferences.
• Perform administrative tasks, including report preparation, maintaining sales records, and filing expense account reports.
• Support Business Development Managers with similar tasks until completion.
• Accurately process quotes received through various channels, including written, electronic, or phone inquiries.
• Create a marketing strategy to reach new contacts within the existing account base.
• Implement a collaborative inside/outside team approach for sales, customer/territory strategy, vendor relations, and dealer of records.
• Conduct ongoing market research on specific business channels and assist in formulating market strategy alongside market and channel sales team members.
• Develop and execute a thorough business development strategy to meet revenue goals and expand the company's presence within the DOD community.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities and contract bids.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with government program and technical personnel, as well as significant military stakeholders.
• Lead the creation of compelling and compliant proposals, collaborating closely with internal teams.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of DOD programs, platforms, and acquisition processes, including contracting vehicles like GSA, ECAT, EMALL, and Prime Vendor schedules.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and military engagements to gather market intelligence and enhance brand awareness.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly report on business development activities and market trends.
• Solid understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.
• Capability to meet work deadlines consistently.
• Proficient in conducting effective negotiations.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Capacity to address customers’ needs while adhering to company protocols.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance, if necessary.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
