This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge about Victaulic’s product offerings and how we can deliver effective solutions to our clients.
• Learn about grooved mechanical pipe joining techniques as well as competitive methods such as welding and flanging.
• Familiarize yourself with construction cycles, identify, and monitor significant construction, expansion, or retrofit projects, while staying updated on market trends and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with your Regional Sales Manager to formulate a business plan that includes opportunity mapping, sales objectives, product promotion strategies, and plans to enhance your sales potential.
• Gather complete information for all quotation requests, including application details, specifications, pricing, and timing needs.
• Lead the inside sales team, engineering, and other supporting staff to foster effective teamwork aimed at fulfilling customer requirements.
• Cultivate relationships and build trust with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
• Partner with Victaulic distributors in your area and oversee a well-balanced distribution network.
• Strive to understand your customers’ needs and educate them on the comprehensive value that leveraging Victaulic can add to their projects.
• Strong background in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
• Prior sales experience in "value-added" products/services, ideally within the commercial construction sector, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products will facilitate a seamless transition, although our training program has enabled individuals from diverse backgrounds to achieve success.
• Demonstrable success in sales, showcasing a history of developing and maintaining long-term relationships is advantageous.
• A competitive spirit coupled with flexibility and resilience will aid in expanding your business in your territory annually.
• As our territory managers operate remotely with limited supervision, a self-motivated and driven attitude is essential for achieving success.
• When engaging with customers, you should project confidence, professionalism, and an approachable demeanor.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, resourcefulness, and creative thinking skills will enhance your daily interactions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, along with solid project management abilities, will elevate your performance to new heights!
