This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Drive the growth of the ITW structural adhesive business within the Automotive/EV sector—taking charge of achieving results and expansion.
• Outline and implement the strategic plan for both current and prospective key accounts, collaborating with the Segment Manager and Sales Director to meet business objectives and annual targets.
• Identify key influencers and decision-makers across all customer locations.
• Customize and align the customer message for each individual or department involved in the discussion.
• Foster relationships at all organizational levels to facilitate new project acquisitions.
• Cultivate relationships and drive specifications with potential OEMs, Tier Suppliers, and other decision-makers in the automotive EV market.
• Recognize customer pain points, explore new sales opportunities, and understand customer expectations, collaborating with the marketing and R&D teams for suitable projects.
• Review and negotiate terms with new customers, ensuring compliance with company policies, the legal department, and Sales Director expectations.
• Establish sales price objectives based on market knowledge and negotiate these prices with customers.
• Manage negotiations involving modifications (technical, volume, raw materials, and inflation).
• Keep up-to-date with competitor and market information to support strategic planning and business development, including recommending initiatives for competitive differentiation.
• Oversee customer business once acquired to consistently reinforce the value proposition and align with customer expectations.
• Collaborate across sales, application engineering, product development, market strategy, and other business functions to drive concepts from Business Case through to Market launch, delivering value and achieving competitive advantage.
• Initiate and execute all necessary actions to submit timely and acceptable quotations for customers.
• Develop ideation projects that align with key industry mega-trends and innovative building products from top customers.
• Utilize SalesForce.com to efficiently gather and analyze key sales data while managing comprehensive sales processes such as pricing, funnel management, accounts, and territories.
• Represent the company at trade shows and association meetings to promote our brands and solutions.
• Advocate for and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality-related policies and procedures.
• A minimum of 8 years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Electric Vehicle and automotive/OEM sectors.
• Demonstrated success in business development.
• B2B experience with EV, Automotive OEMs, and Tier I Suppliers in selling engineered and technical products.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Sales Excellence.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, along with strong presentation abilities.
• A passion and drive for delivering results—highly organized and efficient, capable of meeting tight deadlines while adept at multitasking.
• Proven ability to establish productive business relationships and to influence and negotiate with key accounts.
• Technical knowledge of structural adhesives is a plus.
