This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.
• Creates a strategic territory plan aimed at establishing a varied and impactful sales pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
• Meets the revenue objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the designated territory.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances knowledge to become proficient in Teaching Strategies' offerings as well as the competitive environment in early childhood development.
• Manages the complete sales cycle, effectively balancing time among prospecting, planning, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
• Diligently oversees the sales pipeline in Salesforce.com, ensuring that sales opportunities accurately reflect product details, monetary amounts, and projected closing dates.
• Employs Salesforce.com to monitor all sales activities and communications with customers and prospects in the assigned territory.
• Provides monthly forecasts and sales projections to the Sales Team Director.
• Sustains existing relationships with clients and channels customer feedback appropriately.
• Conducts online presentations and demonstrations, as well as in-person meetings.
• Regularly communicates with major clients in the territory, ensuring timely follow-up on all phone and email interactions regarding potential sales opportunities.
• Represents Teaching Strategies at trade shows, conferences, and events within the territory.
• Enhances market leadership capabilities and fosters the development of long-term customer partnerships.
• Collaborates across departments to establish common objectives and cross-functional initiatives that support sales and company goals.
• Must be a resident of Iowa or Wisconsin.
• 6-8 years of sales experience, particularly in early childhood education or K-12, with experience in Texas programs.
• Proven success in selling digital, print, assessment, and professional development education solutions.
• Mastery of effective selling skills and techniques.
• Experience in market analysis and developing/managing a diverse and balanced sales pipeline.
• Knowledge of educational systems and the ability to sell to multiple decision-makers at various levels.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM solution is highly preferred.
• Understanding of the various funding sources customers can utilize to purchase products, staff development, and assessments.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, with seasonal variations.
• Previous experience in the education sector (e.g., classroom teacher) is advantageous.
