This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulates a strategic territory plan aimed at developing a diverse and meaningful sales pipeline to achieve revenue objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets for the designated territory.
• Acquires, maintains, and enhances knowledge to become proficient in Teaching Strategies' solutions and the competitive landscape in early childhood development.
• Manages the complete sales cycle; effectively balances time between prospecting, planning, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
• Diligently oversees the sales pipeline in Salesforce.com, ensuring sales opportunities are accurately detailed with product information, monetary value, and anticipated closing dates.
• Employs Salesforce.com to monitor all sales activities and communications with customers and prospects within the assigned territory.
• Delivers monthly sales forecasts and projections to the Sales Team Director.
• Sustains existing customer relationships and appropriately channels customer feedback.
• Conducts online presentations and demonstrations, in addition to face-to-face meetings.
• Regularly communicates with major clients in the territory, ensuring timely follow-up on all phone and email inquiries regarding potential sales opportunities.
• Represents Teaching Strategies at exhibitions, conferences, and events within the territory.
• Enhances market leadership capacity and fosters the development of long-term customer partnerships.
• Collaborates across departments to establish common objectives and cross-functional initiatives that align with sales and company priorities.
• Must be based in California, preferably in Southern CA or the LA area.
• 6-8 years of sales experience, particularly in early childhood education or K-12, with a focus on programs in Texas.
• Proven track record of success in selling digital, print, assessment, and professional development education solutions.
• Expertise in effective selling skills and techniques.
• Experience in conducting market analysis and developing/managing a diverse and balanced sales pipeline.
• Familiarity with educational structures and the ability to engage multiple decision-makers across various levels.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of the various funding sources customers can utilize to acquire products, staff development, and assessments.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, with seasonal variations.
• Previous experience in the education sector (e.g., classroom teacher) is advantageous.
