This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• You will report directly to the Country Manager for the Netherlands and play a crucial role in establishing market entry into the Netherlands (Greenfield) by collaborating with her to build a pipeline, customer base, and market presence.
• Engage in proactive new business development and take full ownership of the entire sales cycle — from initial outreach to signed contracts — with a specific emphasis on the private sector (B2B) within highly regulated industries such as banking, insurance, pharma, and similar sectors.
• Identify new business opportunities and create tailored solutions for decision-makers in compliance, legal, and risk sectors.
• Develop and activate a local partner ecosystem — including law firms, Big 4 compliance practices, and specialist consultancies — to enhance pipeline growth alongside direct outreach efforts.
• Manage and strategically nurture existing client relationships throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
• Build a strong network of clients, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Delivery, Legal Engineering, AI Engineering, Configuration, PMO, Service) to ensure successful implementations and enduring client satisfaction.
• Work in alignment with Product Management and Marketing to effectively position our solutions within the Dutch market.
• Represent Rulemapping at events, industry conferences, regulatory forums, and on LinkedIn.
• A degree in Business Administration, STEM, or a comparable qualification is required.
• Several years of experience in B2B sales or business development within a SaaS or tech environment is essential — this is a mandatory requirement.
• A proven history of hunting and closing new accounts — not merely managing existing ones — is necessary.
• Experience in building a new market or launching a product in a Greenfield setting is a significant advantage.
• An existing network within the Dutch financial services, compliance, or regulated industry community (e.g., compliance officers, MLROs, heads of financial crime, regulatory affairs leads) is highly beneficial.
• A strong understanding of SaaS business models, cloud technologies, and digital transformation processes in regulated sectors is important.
• A confident communicator at the C-level with excellent negotiation skills.
• Experience in RegTech, LegalTech, GovTech, or financial services compliance is a notable plus.
• A builder mindset: you create structure where none exists and proactively seek opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads.
• A high degree of self-motivation and enthusiasm for taking ownership during the early phases of market development.
• Language proficiency: Dutch C2, English minimum C1, German is a plus.
