This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.
• Supervise the establishment of new business partnerships and the negotiation of contracts.
• Build and sustain effective peer-to-peer relationships with customers and potential clients.
• Generate and implement lead generation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with the team to identify opportunities and plan as well as execute growth strategies.
• Conduct market research and perform analysis.
• Assess operational challenges to evaluate how competitive and current the organization is with industry trends.
• Observe both external and internal environments to identify the emergence of new market segments.
• Create marketing campaigns for new products and services, including the development of specific budgets and expenditure plans for each.
• Support the creation of an evaluation process to collect feedback from clients.
• Knowledge of engineering requirements such as transmission planning, modeling, design, arc flash, short circuit, coordination, and load flow studies.
• Ability to utilize all facets of market channels including EPC, ESCOs, Utility Companies, Developers, Engineering Firms, End-Users, and Equipment Manufacturers.
• Comprehensive understanding of utility-driven smart grid programs, with in-depth knowledge of IEDs, reclosers, and associated software platforms.
• Strong foundation in business development with a practical understanding of power systems.
• Experience in identifying customer needs and business drivers, using this information to formulate account plans and strategies.
• Excellent leadership skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Capability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks without direct supervision.
• Proficient in effective communication within teams; must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, along with business acumen and management skills.
• Develop business opportunities through insightful competitive and market analysis.
• Ability to cultivate and strengthen working relationships.
• Skills in strategic planning and tactical implementation.
• Experience in business development, ideally within the power systems field, including engineering or field service testing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
