This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Cultivate a qualified pipeline within the Navy modeling, simulation, and training sectors.
• Enhance customer relationships with pivotal Navy stakeholders, acquisition offices, and mission collaborators.
• Identify and shape opportunities early while aligning company capabilities with emerging needs.
• Fortify capture positioning on strategic Navy initiatives.
• Broaden brand visibility as a reliable provider of mission-critical training and simulation solutions.
• Lead the formulation of sales strategies for Defense commercial products and services.
• Collaborate closely with PLEXSYS leadership to create, establish, and manage channel distribution strategies, transitioning to program execution.
• Build and sustain essential customer relationships with government entities, industry partners, and across the company.
• Formulate and execute strategies to expand the company’s customer base.
• Deliver comprehensive presentations and demonstrations of PLEXSYS products and support as assigned.
• Aid in the development and execution of the business development strategy for designated market areas or campaigns.
• Conduct activities related to capture and shaping, including attending industry briefings, monitoring program announcement channels, and engaging with program offices.
• Support the company’s involvement in trade shows, industry events, workshops, and webinars.
• Assist in creating marketing materials, white papers, and communications for innovative solutions.
• Provide support to the Business Development team in the submission, review, and updates of Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs), Quotes, and Proposals in coordination with PLEXSYS divisions/functions.
• Maintain SalesForce with 100% accuracy for corporate visibility and effective execution.
• Undertake special projects and various duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in business development, capture support, account management, or growth strategy within the defense sector.
• Proven experience supporting U.S. Navy or broader Department of Defense clients.
• Familiarity with modeling, simulation, training, testing, mission rehearsal, or operational readiness environments.
• At least five years of demonstrated U.S. Defense business development or sales achievements, particularly in Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) and/or Command and Control (C2) and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) domains.
• Understanding of Navy acquisition processes, budget cycles, and customer engagement strategies.
• Proven track record in identifying and qualifying opportunities, supporting pursuit strategies from initial shaping through to award.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Strong skills in relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration.
• Capacity to work alongside colleagues and staff to foster a results-driven, team-oriented culture.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Proficient strategic planning and analytical skills in sales, marketing, and competitive business strategy.
• Highly effective public speaking skills and presence.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing, including experience with technical proposals and white papers.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance is preferred.
