This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Meet established sales and margin goals within the designated territory through effective pipeline management and regular utilization of CRM tools.
• Enhance and grow the territory by creating new project specifications, recognizing opportunities, and establishing a sustainable business pipeline.
• Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with distributors, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and regulatory agencies to foster long-term business development.
• Implement strategic planning for the territory by assessing market conditions, tracking competitors, and generating precise sales forecasts.
• Act as the organization's representative in the field by providing technical education and engaging stakeholders throughout the territory, while managing regular travel obligations.
• Promote project specifications prior to the bidding stage, ensuring that products are favorably positioned early in the sales cycle before transitioning to sales and distribution channels.
• Over 3 years of pertinent experience in sales, engineering, or business development within water infrastructure, construction, or similar sectors.
• Experience in municipal, engineering, or contractor-focused sales environments, including exposure to tanks or water-related solutions.
• A degree in civil engineering is preferred; mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical background will also be considered.
• Strong capability to establish credibility and build relationships with engineers and industry stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability in sales and margin management, pricing strategies, bidding processes, and specification development.
• Expertise in CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, business planning, and market analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel frequently across the territory (up to 50%).
• Knowledge of regional markets and established industry connections are considered advantageous.
