Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand ShipServ’s presence in the Brazil and LATAM maritime market.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with maritime suppliers and key sectors in the region.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and industry influencers.

• Assist in managing and growing existing accounts by delivering value-added solutions and ensuring high customer satisfaction levels.

• Conduct market research to comprehend the competitive landscape, customer requirements, and regional trends.

• Deliver outstanding customer presentations, product demonstrations, and tailored commercial proposals to meet supplier needs.

• Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to management.

• Represent ShipServ at significant industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities within the region.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Finance, Account Management, RM, and Sales leadership) to customize solutions and offerings for the region.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Trade or Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Spanish is required (business-level to advanced).

• Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or account management within the maritime, shipping, or maritime procurement sectors.

• Strong knowledge of the maritime industry dynamics and procurement practices in Brazil.

• Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and increasing market share.

• An established network within the Brazilian maritime supplier industry is highly desirable.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (English & Portuguese required, Spanish is a plus).

• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build trust with senior-level stakeholders.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

• Willingness to travel within the country and LATAM for face-to-face customer meetings.

• Additional certification in supply chain management is a plus.

• SaaS Sales Certification is preferred.
