This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Discover New Business Opportunities: Conduct research and analyze market trends to pinpoint potential business prospects.
• Formulate strategies to target new customers in both current and new markets, thereby expanding the company’s customer base.
• Customer Acquisition: Generate leads, foster relationships, and convert prospects into clients.
• Create and execute effective sales strategies to meet sales targets.
• Hardware Sales: Advocate for and sell all hardware solutions in the portfolio within the paint and coating industry to new customers as well as to smaller and mid-sized clients.
• IoT Sales: Promote and sell IoT solutions to both new and existing clients. Assess customer needs and provide customized IoT solutions to fulfill their requirements. Demonstrate the solution's capabilities and serve as the customer's main contact for their software solution needs.
• Legacy Software Migration: Assist the Application Engineering team in transitioning legacy software systems to modern platforms.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, product development, operations, software, service, and customer support—to ensure alignment and accomplish business objectives.
• A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in Business Development or Sales.
• Ability to manage and drive multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Results-oriented; works with a sense of urgency and an “Own It” mentality.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Highly adaptable and forward-thinking individual.
• Excellent communication, planning, negotiating, troubleshooting, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Technologically proficient with an understanding of various technical aspects of the products.
