This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build and nurture positive sales relationships with current customers and end users while also engaging potential new customers to spark interest in the company's offerings.
• Ensure that sales targets are achieved within the assigned accounts, focusing on maintaining or growing market share, as well as sales and profit figures.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers by providing detailed product information and applications, and assisting in resolving inquiries and issues related to the company's products.
• Responsible for recommending products and applications that align with project specifications.
• Oversee the customer training function, including mentorship, supervision, and development of trainers.
• Distinguish CMCO products and services from competitors by leveraging both product and non-product factors in various scenarios.
• Conduct site visits for end users (with or without distributors) and demonstrate willingness to work in environments where our products are utilized, such as plants, outdoor settings, and on crane platforms or scaffolding.
• Play an active role in coaching distributor personnel and assessing their competence in supporting all CMCO brands, products, and services.
• Provide expertise in specific product categories and/or vertical markets.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key end users and/or vertical markets relevant to CMCO.
• Prepare customer quotations as necessary and review them against application requirements to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in meeting customer demands.
• Gather and communicate relevant customer feedback and market data, ensuring organizational alignment with the needs of customers.
• Develop business plans and strategies to manage and expand sales territory while addressing conflicts and increasing overall market share in verticals and end users.
• Forecast and monitor key account metrics to support growth objectives.
• Utilize available sales tools, reports, data sources, and CRM systems to manage daily activities and provide essential sales opportunity and forecasting inputs.
• Qualify and facilitate the timely closure of sales leads.
• Collect and report on competitor trends and strategies, along with ongoing customer feedback to Sales Management.
• Proactively seek and engage in both formal and informal training opportunities to maintain technical proficiency and stay updated on technology and industry developments.
• Mentor team members.
• Execute additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities as directed by Sales Leadership.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, particularly in E-commerce, is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
• 30% travel within Columbus McKinnon's global footprint.
