This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop new accounts and/or expand existing ones within a designated geographic territory/product line.
• Business Development will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new product business that aligns with the A&D Sector strategy and capabilities.
• Create a robust pipeline of opportunities through the customer base that aligns with sector strategy, and record all opportunities in CRM.
• Demonstrated success in managing opportunities throughout the complete BD lifecycle: qualification → shaping → capture → proposal → award.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Pricing Teams to design solutions that meet or exceed customer specifications while providing a competitive edge in price and performance to ensure successful capture and execution of opportunities.
• Foster and maintain relationships with customer program and engineering staff to uncover opportunities for collaboration on new technologies or programs, ensuring early engagement, effective positioning for success, and maximum value realization.
• A minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience and business development experience is preferred; experience in the A&D industry is essential.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
• Extensive experience and established relationships within the A&D electronics ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of the A&D customer environment, including the DoW, OEM/Primes, and/or other target customers, along with knowledge of key programs at the DoW level.
• Security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the PCB/Microelectronics industry, RF/MW products, Mission Systems, and design-to-specification solution selling.
• Ability to quickly acquire a comprehensive understanding of our existing products/capabilities and those of our competitors in the industry.
• Proven ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities and formulate effective capture strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities necessary for collaboration with BU and Regional teammates.
• Effective team leader with the capacity to collaborate across organizational and functional boundaries.
• A clear and established history of securing new business wins, including recent and relevant awards exceeding $25M.
