This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with Delivery Business Units to create and oversee three-year business development plans aimed at driving managed and intentional growth.
• Lead the design of solutions that align with growth priorities within the Energy Solutions portfolio, including shaping opportunities before the release of RFPs.
• Develop, manage, and enhance a pipeline of new and expansion opportunities through market cultivation and building industry relationships.
• Identify and summarize market opportunities, emerging client needs, and solution gaps to inform pursuit planning and go-to-market strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and align solution components early, ideally before the release of RFPs.
• Utilize Salesforce, ERP, and internal dashboards to maintain and manage forecasts and pipelines for the assigned business unit.
• Assist in the proposal development process for a high volume of pursuits to ensure bids are competitive, compliant, and distinct.
• Ensure that the sales strategy and win themes established during earlier opportunity development stages are consistently reflected in proposals.
• Confirm that solution designs are in line with client objectives, regulatory requirements, delivery capabilities, and financial targets for each Business Unit.
• Provide guidance and coaching to delivery team members on proposal budgets and business development processes, including pursuit planning, development timelines, and quality standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience demonstrating a sustained impact in complex business development or consulting environments.
• Extensive experience in leading solution strategy and/or supporting complex sales efforts in regulated or utility-focused markets, including pre-RFP opportunity shaping and pursuit leadership.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Engineering, Marketing, IT, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment in solution design, pricing strategy, and execution feasibility.
• Strong ability to lead solution strategies or support numerous sales efforts in regulated or utility-focused markets, including shaping offerings and influencing pursuit direction.
• Comprehensive functional knowledge of energy efficiency programs, utility procurement processes, and market dynamics, with the ability to apply this knowledge to complex, high-impact opportunities.
• Demonstrated capability to influence pipeline development and pursuit strategy through analysis, recommendations, and cross-functional alignment, without final decision authority.
• Advanced financial and strategic thinking skills, encompassing pricing strategy development, budget tradeoff analysis, and the assessment of risk, value, and delivery considerations.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining industry and client relationships that drive pipeline growth and facilitate repeat/expansion work.
