
Business Development Director – Software Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the complete sales cycle, encompassing pipeline development, opportunity management, forecasting, and closing deals.
• Identify, engage, and secure new business within enterprise accounts, including both new logos and existing clients.
• Establish and nurture robust, multi-threaded relationships across business, analytics, IT, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Professional Services, Product, Data, Analytics) to design solutions, define project scope, and articulate value to clients.
• Create pricing models, financial business cases, and deal economics, including considerations for margin, resources, and delivery assumptions.
• Lead the development of proposals and negotiate contracts, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and commercial terms.
• Drive growth within existing accounts through renewals, extensions, managed services, and new workstreams.
• Work in partnership with account and vertical sales teams to integrate and expand Professional Services opportunities alongside core offerings.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams and assist with RFP responses as necessary.
• Contribute to market development by identifying trends, refining service offerings, and influencing go-to-market strategies.
• Significant experience in enterprise sales, particularly in professional services, consulting, managed services, or analytics-driven solutions.
• Extensive experience in Software/Data sales, preferably within the Healthcare sector.
• Proven track record of managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution development, pricing, negotiation, and closing.
• Strong commercial and financial insights, with practical experience in building deal models and assessing margin and delivery assumptions.
• Experience in negotiating contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and navigating procurement processes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate within complex, multi-disciplinary buying environments.
• Experience in collaborating with account teams and aligning service sales with broader technology or data solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
