Business Development Director, Clinical Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Initiate, coordinate, and devise strategic plans and sales methodologies within designated territories or accounts.

• Formulate account strategies and execution plans while expanding through existing accounts.

• Explore new markets and investigate potential business opportunities.

• Pinpoint potential sales points within assigned territories or accounts.

• Gather essential information for proposal development and offer comprehensive input and leadership throughout the proposal process.

• Prepare and arrange sponsor presentations.

• Ensure team readiness for client engagements, including Capabilities meetings and Bid Defence Meetings.

• Oversee and manage budget or contract negotiations post-award.

• Collaborate with operations, monitor study progress for sponsor projects, and assist in coordinating change orders when project scopes evolve.

• Establish and nurture regular communication and strong relationships with both current and prospective clients.

• Keep an eye on and assess competitor CRO activities.

• Organize and participate in significant industry events and trade shows.

• Extensive experience in CRO sales.

• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.

• Preferable experience in the UK and Nordic regions.

• Established connections with decision-makers in pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

• Proven history of identifying and securing lucrative service contracts.

• Awareness of trends, governmental policies, and regulations concerning clinical trials.

• Exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities in a team setting.

• Strong and compelling presentation skills, particularly in conveying service features and benefits to clients.

• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.

• Willingness to travel as required for business development purposes.
