
Business Development Advisor – Integrated Photonics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Conduct research on potential accounts for Clients within targeted markets
• Generate and pursue leads, ensuring successful qualification
• Quickly understand the Client's solutions and market positioning
• Identify appealing target segments, companies, and contacts
• Create a targeted list of leads that aligns with the go-to-market strategy
• Engage outbound leads through calls, emails, and LinkedIn
• Collaborate with the Startup Management team to transfer leads
• Record leads' account information in the CRM system
• Provide insights on product features, value positioning, and more
• Participate in special projects as required
• Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in a relevant field such as Photonics, Electronics, or Physics.
• Strong understanding of optics fundamentals, with experience in photonics integrated chips, integrated micro-optics, or fiber optic technology preferred
• Practical experience in the design and/or simulation of components for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) or full PICs
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying information—both technical and non-technical—to customers clearly and concisely
• Strong organizational abilities, with skills in prioritization and goal setting in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to learn, self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French, German, or Italian is a significant advantage
• Familiarity with programming languages is beneficial
• Experience with commercial software for photonics component design, such as Lumerical, is a plus
