This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new recycling opportunities within industrial sectors such as steel, cement, non-ferrous materials, and others.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with external partners, suppliers, demolition firms, and customers generating recyclable refractory waste.
• Create business cases, commercial frameworks, and profitability analyses to bolster recycling initiatives.
• Lead negotiations and assist in the development of contracts for material supply and recycling agreements.
• Collaborate closely with the Recycling team to facilitate the collection, processing, and return flow of spent refractory materials.
• Aid in the establishment of reverse logistics networks and recycling supply chains.
• Work in partnership with procurement, operations, EHS, and logistics to verify the feasibility of new recycling streams.
• Recognize operational or quality challenges and collaborate with technical teams to devise solutions.
• Team up with Sales and Key Account teams to enhance recycling participation among key customers.
• Present and communicate value propositions that emphasize the environmental and financial advantages of recycling.
• Assist with on-site customer visits, audits, and evaluations pertaining to spent material characterization and compatibility.
• Monitor commercial performance, material volumes, savings, and CO₂ impact in line with RHI Magnesita's sustainability objectives.
• Provide precise forecasting and pipeline reports to leadership.
• Stay informed about regional regulations, environmental standards, and recycling incentives.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects across various regions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in business development, commercial sales, recycling, waste management, or heavy industry.
• Familiarity with refractory materials, industrial manufacturing, mining, or related sectors.
• Understanding of recycling processes, principles of the circular economy, or environmental compliance.
• Technical skills related to material characterization or industrial operations.
