Business Area Manager, Nursing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a remote team of Field Nurses within the designated geographical area.

• Meet Key Performance Indicators related to clinic and nursing operations, including budget management and expense oversight.

• Assess the demand for clinic and nursing services to ensure sufficient resources are available to fulfill customer and patient care needs within the assigned region.

• Perform audits of clinics and nursing practices, including reviewing protocols and conducting on-site assessments.

• Conduct interviews and facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new team members.

• Provide continuous performance management for all direct reports.

• Evaluate, strategize, and implement process enhancements to achieve utilization and efficiency goals.

• Ensure that the nurses within their Integrated Business Unit (IBU) adhere to the standards of practice set by the Provincial College of Nurses and/or Associations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent, or currently pursuing the degree.

• Must be registered with the College of Nurses in the province where employed.

• CVAA certification is considered an asset.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is optional based on needs.

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of nursing experience is required.

• At least 2 to 5 years of management experience or experience working with a remote team, or related experience in guiding and managing personnel is preferred.

• Experience in nurse training and education is beneficial.

• Familiarity with the biotechnical or pharmaceutical industry is an asset.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.

• Bilingualism in French and English is a plus.
