This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead business discovery initiatives for AI, automation, process optimization, workflow improvements, and digital advancements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Solution Partners, Delivery Architects, and Delivery Leads to define needs, scope, expected outcomes, and readiness for technical review.
• Convert vague business requests into well-defined opportunity statements.
• Evaluate intake requests for clarity, completeness, alignment with business objectives, and readiness for discovery.
• Develop opportunity briefs, process maps, value summaries, inputs for business cases, decision narratives, and necessary discovery documentation.
• Record current and future-state processes through various documentation methods, including process flows, SIPOC diagrams, value stream maps, journey maps, capability maps, and decision flows.
• Identify inefficiencies in processes, gaps, handoffs, dependencies, risks, business rules, and areas for improvement.
• Articulate value drivers, assumptions, expectations for adoption, measurable outcomes, and logical frameworks for business cases.
• Gather and validate prioritization inputs from the business side.
• Prepare opportunities for technical review and assist in the transition to technical design and delivery planning.
• Produce leadership-ready summaries that address problems, value propositions, recommendations, scope, risks, trade-offs, and subsequent steps.
• Utilize approved AI tools, including ChatGPT, to enhance the discovery process, documentation efforts, and development of business cases.
• Engage in collaboration across global, virtual, and cross-functional teams.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in intake processes, discovery methodologies, business architecture, value definition, and readiness for delivery.
• Doctorate degree; or Master's degree with 2 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Associate's degree with 8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proficient in business architecture, business analysis, and problem-framing techniques.
• Experience in leading discovery processes with business stakeholders and structuring ambiguous requirements.
• Familiarity with demand intake, opportunity assessment, discovery processes, prioritization, technical review preparation, and pre-delivery planning.
• Capability to document business challenges, stakeholder requirements, current and future-state processes, value drivers, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
• Experience in supporting business cases, value assessments, ROI calculations, benefit hypotheses, or planning for value realization.
• Strong skills in process documentation and mapping.
• Ability to create opportunity statements, process flows, business narratives, and recommendations suitable for leadership review.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Experience in preparing executive summaries, discovery reports, prioritization suggestions, or business presentations.
• Strong analytical skills and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in using approved AI tools to enhance discovery and documentation efforts.
• Ability to work independently within a matrixed organization.
• Preferred knowledge of AI, automation, process intelligence, digital workflow, enterprise platforms, and transformation initiatives.
• Preferred experience with tools such as UiPath, DocuSign, Celonis, Power Platform, WalkMe, Custom GPTs, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
• Preferred familiarity with methodologies and tools like SIPOC, value stream mapping, BPMN, journey mapping, capability mapping, Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, Jira, Jira Align, Smartsheet, and Confluence.
• Preferred experience in Agile, SAFe, Scrum, GxP, CFR 21 Part 11, computer system validation, quality systems, or regulated Life Sciences settings.
• Professional certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
